A small little poem I wrote for a character a while back (hence the title), but one that's always stuck with me. Perhaps because of my general mindset at the time. Feel free to comment!

In the night, I heard it slow
And in broken faith, I cried.
A silent wanting filled my heart
And I pushed all thoughts aside.
